Flooring Installation & Repair
Tile, vinyl & LVP, hardwood, laminate, and carpet — installed flat, tight, and square, on subfloors made right first.
Floors Are Only as Good as What's Under Them
The difference between a floor that lasts twenty years and one that clicks, gaps, and peaks by spring is almost always the prep: a flat, dry, solid subfloor and the right underlayment for the room. We check and fix that layer first — leveling low spots, screwing down squeaks, replacing soft sections — before the first plank or tile goes down.
We install every common residential flooring: porcelain and ceramic tile, luxury vinyl plank and sheet vinyl, solid and engineered hardwood, laminate, and carpet. We also do the repairs most flooring stores won't: patching a burned spot, re-stretching a rippled hallway, replacing a cracked tile, or weaving new boards into an old fir floor.

Common Flooring Projects
| Project | What's included | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| LVP a room or level | Tear-out, subfloor prep, plank, transitions, trim | The most popular floor in the Northland right now |
| Bathroom tile floor | Demo, backer or membrane, tile, grout, seal, re-set toilet | Pairs naturally with our plumbing service |
| Carpet re-stretch | Power-stretched, ripples gone, edges re-tucked | Usually done in an hour or two per room |
| Squeak elimination | Locate, screw-down, and shim from above or below | A favorite fix in older story-and-a-half homes |
Floors That Survive Boots, Salt & Sand
Northland entries live a hard life — road salt in January, beach sand from Park Point in July, and wet boots for six months straight. We'll steer you honestly on what holds up here (porcelain and quality LVP at the entries, anything you love further in) and detail thresholds and transitions so meltwater doesn't find its way into your subfloor.
Flooring Questions
Can you install flooring I already bought?
Absolutely — labor-only installs are common for us. Have it on site and acclimated (we'll tell you how long for your material) and we'll take it from there.
Do you move furniture and remove the old floor?
Yes. Tear-out, haul-away, and furniture shuffling are all part of the quote if you want them — no surprise line items on the day.
My floor squeaks like a haunted house. Fixable?
Almost always, and usually without replacing the floor. Squeaks are movement — board on nail, subfloor on joist. We find each one and fasten it down; it's one of the most satisfying cheap fixes we do.
