Kitchen Remodeling, Updates & Repair
The kitchen you want without the six-month gut job — backsplashes, countertops, cabinets, islands, refacing, and smart storage that transforms the room in days, not months.
Big Kitchen Impact, Small-Project Footprint
Most kitchens don't need to be gutted — they need the right five upgrades. New counters and a tile backsplash. Cabinet doors refaced instead of replaced. An island where the dead space is. Glide-out shelving so the corner cabinet stops eating your cookware. That's the sweet spot we live in: real remodeling results, finished in days, at a fraction of full-remodel cost.
We handle the full small-remodel stack — demo, cabinets, counters, tile, plumbing reconnects, lighting swaps, and paint — with one crew and one point of contact. And when something's just broken, we repair it: sagging drawers, dead soft-close hinges, water-swollen toe kicks, chipped counters.

|---|---|---|

| Cabinet reface | New doors & fronts, veneer, hinges, hardware | Roughly half the cost of new cabinets — same look |
| Counter + sink swap | Template, set counters, mount sink, plumb faucet | Butcher block and laminate are 1–2 day projects |
| Island install | Assemble or build, anchor, top, outlet per code | Adds prep space and seating most kitchens are missing |
Working With the Northland's Older Kitchens
Twin Ports kitchens often hide surprises — plaster walls behind the backsplash zone, floors that have settled a half-inch across the run, cast-iron drains where the new sink goes. We measure and scribe for the house you actually have, so cabinets sit level and counters meet walls cleanly even when the 1925 framing has opinions.
Kitchen Questions
What does a 'small kitchen remodel' typically include?
A common package: refaced or repainted cabinets, new counters, tile backsplash, new sink and faucet, updated hardware and lighting. Layout stays put — which is exactly why it's fast and affordable. We'll scope it to your budget in a free consult.
Can you install cabinets or counters I bought myself?
Yes — IKEA, box-store, and online-ordered cabinets and prefab counters are regular installs for us. We'll flag anything about your order that looks off before demo day, not after.
Do I need a plumber and electrician too?
For like-for-like swaps — faucet, disposal, replacing an existing fixture — we handle it. If your project moves plumbing or adds circuits, we'll tell you upfront and coordinate the licensed trades needed so it's still one project to you.
